We are the ZUN-H and ready to build the next energy era.

Hi!
After months of working quietly, we’re starting to share what we’ve been building.
We’re developing a new way to produce clean hydrogen — directly from sunlight and water, without needing electricity to make it work. It’s solar energy in fuel form, designed for local, flexible, and off-grid energy production.
Our work moves between Finland and Spain by design. In Finland, we turn research into functional panels and develop hydrogen production systems. In Spain, we test our systems in real sunlight after months of Finnish winter darkness. I have to say, seeing hydrogen bubbles rise inside the panel never stops being exciting.
I started this company because the energy transition needs more options for how, and in what form, renewable energy can be produced. Not everything can, or should, rely on electricity alone. Solar hydrogen is one way to produce fuels directly, helping broaden our energy system and strengthen long-term resilience. Energy is one of society’s most important pillars, and we need to make sure it remains flexible under different conditions.
Today, most of our renewable energy production is focused on centralized electricity systems. That works well in many places, but it also leaves gaps. Outside the grid, options for local energy are limited. And even within the grid, electricity is only part of what our society runs on.
I believe we benefit from a hybrid energy system, where some production remains centralized, while another part is local, flexible, and independent. Where clean fuel can be produced close to where it is needed — in different places, at different scales, and for different uses. This opens the door to new kinds of energy producers, technologies, and ways of thinking about energy altogether.
Last year, we’ve done a lot of groundwork for both the company and product development. Now it feels great to finally be here, building this together with people I am proud to work with.
You can meet us in person at Nordic Hydrogen Week in Oulu, February 12, 2026.
Let’s go.
